In-person learning is bringing a new wave of writing evaluation requests to IEP teams who are seeing an increase in:

  • Illegible handwriting
  • Limited writing production
  • Poor spelling

Having a systematic process to evaluate these writing issues and determine recommendations is necessary to put students on the right path to success. Stacy Springer MS, OTR/L, ATP has logged many years training educators and practitioners in the acclaimed DeCoste Writing Protocol (DWP)—working closely with the author, Dr. Denise DeCoste.

In this webinar, Stacy will walk you through the DWP process to:

  • Screen for writing problems including dysgraphia
  • Systematically evaluate students across various handwriting and keyboarding conditions
  • Determine appropriate supports (including text-to-speech, on-screen keyboarding, word prediction, and voice typing)
  • Collect data to prove the need for accommodations

You’ll also come away with a free 5-Minute Screening Tool for Writing
