For years, there were three assessment tracks—the general assessment, modified assessment, and the alternate assessment. Now, the modified assessments are being eliminated so 20% more of your students on IEPs will take the general assessment next year.
And that’s just one of the changes underway. It’s a move toward college and career readiness standards, and regardless if you are in a Common Core state or not, it will affect you.
The good news is that the assessments will be more AT-friendly and many accommodations will even be built in so students can show what they know.
